PADI Deep Diver and Nitrox Diver

To improve my allowable time and depth under water I got certified as a Deep Diver and Enriched Air Diver, which provides knowledge and training for safe recreational diving to a depth of 40 meters and the use of Nitrox Enriched Air for safer and longer diving. These are also prerequisites for beginning technical diver training.

PADI Rescue diver

To enchance my skills and safety underwater after some years of holiday diving I extended my certification level to Rescue Diver, which includes both regular and diving specific first aid and accident management theory and practice. This also opens the door to begin a Divemaster course and going into professional diving.

PADI Advanced Open Water diver

During my studies in Australia I got into scuba-diving and decided to get licensed by PADI since the university diving club provided this form of training and certification. I first completede the regular Open Water Diver course in March 2004, and then the Advanced Open Water license in May 2004. This licenses me to do recreational scuba-diving with a buddy, breathing regular air and in open water to a depth of no more than 32 meters.

EU Drivers License - Class B Cars

When I turned 18 (legal driving age in Norway) I completed the training and exams required for the European Union drivers license for motor veichles of class B. This licenses me to legally handle a veichle-combination of 3500kg with up to 8 passenger-seats, and with a trailer weight of up to 750kg. This includes regular cars, light motorcycles, mopeds, snowmobiles and farm-tractors.

European Golf Association Green Card

While I attended high-school the then northernmost golf-course in the world openened in my home-town at 68º 46' north. I took the oppourtunity to do the "Green card"-traning course, a theoretical and practical introduction to the skills, rules and etiquette of golf. The Green card is required as a mandatory license to be allowed play on European Golf Association golf-courses.

Norwegian Boating License

In secondary school I studied and took the exam for the Norwegian Boating License for leisure boats as an elective course. The license certifies the ability and knowledge at captaining any non-commercial boat of a size of less 15 meters or 25 metric tons as required by Norwegian law.
